I'm trying to keep true to my promise and participate in 2 or 3 challenges a week. This week I made this card for the Friday Sketcher challenge found here.
I used Cheeky Glamour from TGF. The DP is from K & Company, it's called Wild Raspberry. Not totally thrilled with how this came out, I think it's missing something, maybe I'll add something else to it.
The challenge was to use pastel colors. This image seems like it would better in bold bright colors, but I gave it a shot with lighter pastel colors. I used K & Company Wild Rasberry DP, Copics, and Prismacolor pencils.
I love all of the digi images at Kenny K's blog, so go check them out here. I can't wait until he adds more!
I used the Martha Lulu image I received in a Wish RAK.
I just love this image. I also used K & Company Wild Rasberry DP, some light blue corrugated paper and some cute blue oval pearl like embellishments. Although you can't see it in the picture I used some Bubble Gum Shimmerz. The card looked a little plain at first so I added some hand drawn pink cross stitches.
Help jodi celebrate her birthday by visiting her blog, Inked Inspiration. She is giving away 5, yes 5 great prizes! The rules: -become a follower of her blog -leave a comment on her blog -post her Candy on your blog to help spread the word.
Earlier this week I came across 2 new blogs. The first has sketch challenges every Saturday, called Sketch Saturday and the second is a place to great awesome digital images at Kenny K downloads.. He is a great artist and the images kind of remind me of the Bratz dolls from a few years back. He also has some great sports images.
Below is the sketch challenge for this week.
To complete my card I used: Kenny K digi called Troublemaker Basic Grey DP Bazil Basics paper Copics, Memento ink, and Prismacolors
This week i created a card using both a sketch challenge and a color challenge. First the color challenge is from the Color Throwdown blog, they are having a huge giveaway to celebrate their 100th color throwdown.
I am trying to increase my followers. Currently I have 16 and that number has not moved in a long, long time. I love to look at and read everyone else's blog and I see many offer blog candy to help spread the word, so I decided to do the same.
The rules for this game is to : -leave a comment on my blog and if you have time look back through some of my previous posts. i will use random.com on 8/1/2010 to choose winner of blog candy from comments left on this post. -Spread the word about my candy giveaway on your blogs. -and most importantly-become a follower of my blog!
that's it, real simple....you have until 7/31/10 to enter and hopefully I can break the 50+ follower goal!!
Here is a list of the candy up for grabs: -5 double-sided Scenic Route Providence collection pages with die cut sheet and alphabet stickers -K & Company chipboard cube -The Sweet Life- 12 acrylic prismatic words -Making memories vintage findings trim -Marcella by K string clasps -all my memories small round brads- yellow and green -Bo Bunny Clearly mixed Up Clear Album- Serendipity -heidi Grace assorted ribbon -Queen and Company Beadifuls- HOTTIE -2 rolls of glue rings
I've decided to try and participate in at least 3 challenges a week. Here is one I found on Clearly i Stamp The theme is Thank You or Gratitude and you have until August 1st to submit your card. i might just make another before the end of the month.
I use What a hoot stamp set and made the owl pop on the branch.
I stumbled across this sketch challenge as I was viewing all my favorite blogs. CAS-tastic has a new challenge every Wednesday. I used Basic Grey Dp and an image I received in a swap over at the SCS site. The images isfrom Wild Rose Studios and her name is Party Girl. She is just so cute!
Here is my card for the CPS 173 challenge. I've had so many friends having babies lately i thought I'd try to be one step ahead with this card. I tried to keep the colors neutral since I won't know if it's a girl or boy until later.
I used Heidia Grace DP and Stampin Up- babys first steps.
