Christmas friends

I received this image in a swap at Splitcoast Stampers. Not sure who makes it, but since my house is also filled with animals I thought this image/card was great.

Bugaboo Freebie Friday

I downloaded this image from Bugaboo Digital Images a couple weeks ago. They have freebies every friday. I just love it, not too sure about the card I made, but love the image.

Elves on Candy Cane

I won this image, well 5 images in a challenge at Copic Creations a few weeks ago. isn't it cute! It's made by Pink cat Studios.
One more card done!

Lily Candy Elf

Another one of my Pink Cat Studios images that i won.
again another cutee!

Merry Cluckin Christmas

Just love this image from WhipperSnapper. I scrap-lifted this card from my fav card maker, Linda Heavens. I made 5 more cards over the weekend, so now I'm up to like 18 or so, I intended on making 12, 5 of each....guess that went on the way side.

Another X-mas card

My plan this year was to creat about 12 cards to send for Christmas, and make 5 of each to send out. I ususlly send about 60 each year. I know I've made well over 12, but I keep seeing these great sketches and inspiration on everyone elses blogs.
Here is another one I made in untraditional colors. just love the pink and green.

Bugaboo Design Team Call

So the Bugaboo team is looking for new designers. To be considered you need to submit a post with at least 1 bugaboo card and then two other favorite projects. Well I just can't decide which ones I want to submit so I included a few extra. Hope I don't get disqualified for that. Anyway the call ends Wednesday 11/10/10 at midnight.
If you are chosen then there is a round 2 to the contest.
If you are chosen to continue to round 2, we will send you a predetermined image which you will make a project and turn back into us it would make things much quicker and give you more time to create if you make sure your email is in your post of the first round.

Bellarific Friday 1-2-3 and SCS sketch challenge and card #13

This week I used Stella all wrapped up by Stampingbella to create this card.
I used the sketch from SCS sketch 304 and the theme from Blogabella.
Again was trying to us untraditional x-mas colors.
The Bellarific 1-2-3 challange was to use 1 image, 2 patterned papers and 3 embellishments.

Sugar Bowl #46- For the Boys- card #12

This week over at the Sugarbowl, the challenge was to use the sketch provided and use the theme: One for the boys.
I only have a few more cards to create before I go on to mass production. This is card #12.
I used Sugarnellie Mr. Stocking, the Dp is from Basic Grey Jovial.
I used my copics and prismacolor pencils.

X-mas card # 11 and Copic Creation challenge #37

Pink Cat Studios is sponsoring this weeks challenge at Copic Creations Challenge Blog. So if you want to try and win five digi images from Pink cat Studios you need to whip up a card and link it to their blog. You have until 10/31 to enter.
The challenge this week was to use the colorless blender. Not sure how much you can see in this picture, but I used the blender on Snowflake Fairy Lilly's hair, the color of the cape and the wings. I took this picture before I added a little sponging to the image.
i pictured this coming out a little different than it did, still cute but not what I had in mind.

Thanks Coach(es)

This is the final week of cheering for my daugther. I made four cards with these darling cheer monkeys from Bugaboo. I colored with copics and prismac pencils, then cut them all out. I used my grass punch with two different shades of green, then stuck the cheerleaders down, I used foam back tape on the the cheerleader in the air. I was thinking of adding a cartoon bubble so it looks like they are yelling out a cheer!
All four cards are basically the same. we will write a nice thank you on the inside.

Think Pink!

The other day I took my daughter to a members only sale at PINK and the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month inspired me to make this card. Now pink is just not my color and I found this digi image from Bugaboo stamps.
It represented me- exactly! I have another image from Bugaboo that I will add later this weekend.
I just love their images!

Card #10- 2010

I just loved this DP.
I thought the Stampingbella image would look great with the christmas tree background. I tried to make it look like the car had just driven out of the field of trees. I added a little glossy accents to the ornaments and headlights. I want to add a sentiment, but not sure what fits?? Any thoughts?

Bellarific Friday 10-22-10 Card #9- 2010

I up to card 9 of 12! ya hoo!
This week I used the sketch from Bellarific Friday at Stampingbella.
I was sorting through my christmas images last week and pulled out Christmartini. I then came across this DP from K& Company and thought they would go together great!. The swirls almost match exactly.
I used my spellbinders to but the circle the image out, and let the Christmas tree stirrer to pop out of the circle.

Sketch Saturday #124- Card #8 -2010

This week I've been working on getting a few more Christmas cards done.
Here is #8. I used the sketch from the Sketch Saturday Blog with one of my favorite Whippersnapper images.

The DP if from Cosmo Cricket- Holly Jolly, the image Whippersnapper- Jingle Balls.
My colors are non-traditional, but I like how they came out. The colors are a blue/green and purple , the lighting throws the colors off a bit.

Card Patterns Sketch # 85- Card # 7 2010- Snow Angels

I found this sketch at Card Patterns on Saturday. It looked fun and I thought it might work with my snow angel image from Cow Town Stamps.
The colors are a little diffeernt, but I was trying to be untraditional this year.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-#32 Paper Piecing - Card #6 2010

While browzing the gallery at SplitCoastStampers, I found this card I absolutely loved. I looked into it further and it brought me to the challenge bloge over at Sassy Cheryls Digi Stamps.
The challenge for the week was to use paper piecing in your creation. Since I absolutely loved the card on SCS, I decided to purchase the image and do something similar.

Here's how it came out. I will use this as card number 6 of 12 of my Christmas cards!

The image is called Twiggy the Snowman, the paper is from American Traditioanl Designs and is called Chrismas Trees. I used my nestabilities and tried a technique I saw at Prairie, Paper & Ink
It didn't come at as I planned, but it doesn't look to bad either.

Snowman Trio

So this is card 5 of 12.
I just love this image from whippersnapper.
I cased a card on SCS made by jojot.
I just changed the colors. I love the colors she used also, but since I have an elf card with thoses colors, I went with purple and yellow.

ONLY 7 more to go....

ATS Wednesday Challenge- Clear Cards

In the race to choose 12 different cards to make for Christmas, I came accross this challenge over at All That Scraps blog challenge.

This week the challenge was to make a clear card. I've made a few in the past, but was never my favorite to work with.
I used Christmas Emma on this card. Colored her copics, then cut her out and attached her to the front of the clear card. I layered two DP papers on the inside and also stamped and embossed the Happy Holidays sentiment.

It came out cute, but a little hard to see in this picture.

Christmas Card #3 2010

here is card # 3.
Again another Sugarnelli image, this one called Miss Elf.
I wanted to try and do untraditional colors on some of the cards, Thought this DP was a really great combo..so I matched her up as best I could with the DP.

Still trying to figure out cards 4-12, but I'm a quarter of the way there.
Enjoy!

Christmas card #2-2010

Here is the card/image I have chosen for the second of 12 christmas cards.
The image is another from Sugarnelli, called Gingerbread.
I use some DP from Daisy D's collection.

Christmas Card #1 - 2010

I usually send about 60 cards for Christmas. This year I decided to choose 12 images and make 5 cards of each. That way I don't get to bored with the same image.
This is the first image I choose. Sugarnellie- Miss Clause.
I like the purple and green combo, so I will make 5 cards similar to this using this layout out too.
I used Wildrose Milton & Co paper, stitched around the paper and and sponged around the image.

I do have image 3 and 4 choosen already, but still thinking about the rest.......anyway will have card #2 tomorrow.

Get Well Coach Sean

My son's last hockey coach just had surgery on his knew. I decided to make good use of the Bugaboo stamps- nurse Margaret I purchased awhile back. Used this great bandaid paper again too...will have to find more like it since I only have a small piece left from the 12x12 page. I also used my new 5x7 cuttlebug mini-dots embossing folder. Just love all the dots/spots folders.

Happy Birthday Derek

I cased this layout from Jodi Collins' Blog Stamping a Latte. didn't use the same stamps, but one I received in a swap.

Sending this to my nephew for his birthday.

Tweeeens -Mo's digital Challenge 44

I colored this image a while ago. It was a digital image from Mo Manning. I just love her work. And the colors happen to fit in the inspiration picture for the week at Mos' Digital Challenge. So I threw together a card and linked it to her challenge.
Nothing fancy for the sketch, I actually partially lifted a sketch from The Bella Digi Studio Challenge Blog.

Now off- I have 3 birthday cards to get done before thursday!!!!Ugggg! Why do I wait until last minute!!

Just Hanging Around

My first Lili of the Valley stamp and my first Lili of the Valley Challenge.
This week at LOTVs Challenge Blog the task at hand was to make a card to represent Spring, Summer, or Winter.

I thought this cute little guy reminds me of summer.
i used Basic Grey Oliver DP, a few large red brads and copics and prismas.

Skull Boyz

My 15 year old son has recently began skate boarding.
I thought these Skull Boyz were pretty cool, so I ordered them and will give this to him for his B-day in two weeks.

i used copics and prismacolor pencils to color this. I cut out the second skater and used foam backed tape to make him look a little more 3-D

Baubles- The Sugar bowl 41 and Basic Grey 26

This week's challenge over at the Sugarbowl is a sketch challenge.
I had such a hard time with this challenge.

At first I thought what a great way to use Baubles, but as I choose the DP it just went down hill.
I think my coloring came out great, but this sketch was difficult.
Instead of a star, I scanned the Basic Grey DP Mistle Toe and Pears and blew up the snowflake.
I originally thought that would look cool since i used the original DP behind it on one of the layers.
But the layers cover up the base DP which is also by BG and has ornaments all over it.
UGGGGGGH.
I added some pearl embellishments and I think that helped, but this is not one of my favorite cards!
And since pearls are the challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges I can use it there too!

Feel Better Quick

My boss' husband fell dow the stairs and broke his neck recently. Luckily the damage is not as bad as it could be. He will be laid up for months with a neck brace and depending on how he heels, may need surgery. For now, he is laid up in a reclining bed. I thought this Bugaboo Nurse Margret card would cheer him up a little. I hope his visiting nurse doesn't like her.
Anyway- feel better soon - Colin
