Finally have some time to get a few cards done. I have 2 or many Xmas cards done. I usually pick six or eight designs, then make 5 or 6 of each. That gives me a little variety and I don't get bored making just one type.

I LOVE Angry Birds!!!

A co-worker asked about an angry bird card for his 10 year olds birthday, after a little research, I came up with this and this.
I paper pieced both cards and added a little liquid chalk to the edges.

I have been so busy this summer...
I am now trying to just make some generic birthday cards to have in stock. Got 3 done, but would like to get another 5 or so done. You know we all have those last minute....shoot it's so and so's birthday and I don't have the right kind if card made to give !!! These should help with that! I really need to make some more masculine type cards too!

No time.....

spring/summer finally arrived so I've had no time to post anything. Here are a few cards I needed to make.

IMy brother's x-girlfriend is getting married this Saturday. We don't keep in touch much, but still exchange Christmas cards and chat through Facebook. I made this card for her. I just love it. I lifted the idea from byLoridesigns blog. One of her design team members made one just like this, well mine is almost the same...not exactly but very close.

Project 12- April Sketch

For the April Sketch I scrapped up a very recent event. The Polar Plunge. For the 4th year my daughter has taking the plunge to raise money for the homeless. This year the plunge was postponed until April since we had so much snow and you couldn't get to the beach.

Another page I've been wanting to do for years. This was 1996 and my son wasn't even 1 yet. He will be 16 soon, so much for procrastinating.

Project 12- March Sketches

For the March sketch I pulled put some photos from May 2002. Our family took a trip to NYC. We went to Ellis Island, say the Statue of Liberty, ground zero, and the USS Enterprise.

Project 12- February Sketch

So I"m happy to say I am still playing with Project 12 over at Scrap Book & Cards Today Here is the February sketch, it has been done for a while just have been to busy to post. For this sketch I choose to use some old photos of my daughter. She was six months old and it was her first Christmas. I've been meaning to scrap these for years and I'm glad I finally got it done!! I have March's sketch all planned out, just need to put it together. I'm glad I found this blog it has kept me scrapping at least one layout a month.

Wrist Injuries

have two people in my life that are having wrist issues.

One fell and broke his wrist, the other had to have carpal tunnel surgery.

Both digi images are from Bugaboo stamps.

I just grabbed all of these images the other day from Bugaboo Stamps. I just love their digi images.

Anyway had make this first one for my son's girlfriend. Then one for my husband, daughter and son.

Didn't have lots of time to work on them but I think they came out cute even though they are of the simplest design.

Project 12- January Sketch

Okay- so I decided to try something new.

I came across this challenge at Scrapbook & Cards Today

They publish a sketch each month and you have until the end of the following month to complete, post and link. They do give away prizes as well.

Since I haven't scrapped in a long time, I thought it would be a nice start to getting me back into it.

This is the January 2011 sketch challenge.

Three cards done in a week..whew....

My daughter is going to a double 13 year old birthday party.

Two of her friends are splitting the costs for their party and having it together...yeah only one outfit to worry about!!

Anyway since you need to be dressed up for the party, I thought these two images would suit them well. AA little glitter, a little bling and a ribbon and they are good to go.
