Happy New Year
Well 2009 is only 32 minutes away. Hoping to have a good year, both with our health and economically. I've been folowwing a lot of very talented people's blogs. I have seen so many great creations and hope to add some of my own to this site in the coming days/weeks. I have so many good thoughts, but not enough time.

Happy Holidays!
One more day and all the time, money and work we have put in will be over. Just think it takes a ling time to prepeare and it all over in 10 minutes, if you are lucky.
Still having a bit of wrapping do to, mostly stocking stuffers.
Have a safe and happy holiday to anyone and everyone that might read this!!

Gift card holder
i found this simple pop-up giftcard holder on SCS and Hero Arts.
Thought I'd share with everyone.
I'm thinking of making a few to keep on hand for birthdays and whatnot!
What you'll need:
4 X 12 Piece of patterned paper (or you can make your own by stamping a piece of 4 X 12 piece of cardstock)
4-1/4 X 4-1/4 Square piece of coordinating cardstock (used as mat for mounting the interior of gift card)
Stamps
Ink
Bone Folder
Craft Knife
Adhesive
Take your 4 X 12 piece and score it 4" from one end (horizontal orientation) - flip to the other end and score 4" from that end. This will give you a piece divided into 3- 4" squares
Here is the video from Hero Arts blog:
Burnish all score lines with your bone folder
Take the middle square and fold it in half, creating the Pop Up portion of this card in a "hill" -^-
Using your gift card as a guide, cut a slit in the center of middle of your folded piece large enough for your gift card to slide into
Adhere the back side of your pop up portion to your 4-1/4" square piece of cardstock
Embellish as desired
Insert gift card (the important part)
